First Harvest Drum Circle

In ancient times, the initial harvest festivals commenced in August and were extensively celebrated across Ireland, Scotland, and the Isle of Man. This festival signifies the onset of the end of summer and the arrival of the season of letting go. We will form a drum circle to honor this first harvest, to recognize what we have gained throughout the year, to celebrate what deserves celebration, and to start addressing what needs to be released as Fall nears.

All materials will be provided including your drum and a nourishing snack. Journal prompts will be given to answer in class as well as a take-home for reflection.

Spiritual Journey Songwriting - Virtual Wellness Session

Virtual Session via Google Meets

This session will focus on emotional, spiritual, and interpersonal connection. The session will begin by listening to a song that contains themes of spirituality and one’s spiritual journey. After McKenzie performs the song, she will initiate a lyric discussion based on the lyrics of the song and the overall theme. Session members will be asked to share any initial responses they noticed while listening, specific lines that stood out while listening, and answer other specific prompting questions. This will be done in the form of group discussion.

At the conclusion of the lyric discussion, McKenzie will lead members in a group songwriting initiative using the lyrics of the initial song. Powered by the original lyric discussion, session members will work together to edit the song lyrics as they collectively see fit. This can be done by adding/removing words or changing different words/phrases within the lyrics. Once lyrics have been changed to the group’s satisfaction, McKenzie will perform the re-written song for the group. The session will conclude with a group reflection.

A soundscape is sound or combination of sounds that forms or arises out of an immersive environment. This is for those of you who were told you don't have a musical bone in your body. Join McKenzieN and KathrynR for this mindful experience, creating an organic, beautiful soundscape with intuitive instruments (that means you don't need any musical experience to play them - we promise).

Join us for the very first Mandala Sessions, where McKenzie plays music designed to stir your senses and unlock your imagination. While you listen, you'll be guided to create your own mandala—drawing from sound, emotion, and a few thoughtful prompts to inspire deeper reflection.

No art experience needed. Just come open to listen, create, and connect.

Sound. Color. Intention. See where it takes you.

Basic supplies provided, but feel free to bring special pens/markers if desired.

THIS IS AN ALL AGES EVENT: ANYONE 14 AND UNDER MUST ATTEND WITH A PAID ADULT.

Moms Mental Health Initiative Summer Social

Join us for the 4th Annual Moms Mental Health Initiative Summer Social presented by Hawks Quindel, S.C.! This fundraising event unites us in celebration of the strength of our participants and the immeasurable power of togetherness. One in five moms experiences a perinatal mental health condition, like postpartum depression. On May 31, 2025 at Wilson Park in Milwaukee, you’re invited to join us as we honor those who have walked through a perinatal mental health journey and forge ahead in the work to support those who will travel the path in the future.


Funds raised from this event will allow Moms Mental Health Initiative to continue offering hope and help to perinatal people struggling in Southeast Wisconsin and Dane County. Since 2016, MMHI has supported more than 1,200 moms through three key programs; information sharing, resource brokering and peer support. Every dollar raised at the social stays in our community to ensure that moms receive the help they need to feel better as they navigate perinatal mental health conditions

Music Mandala Workshop

Music Mandala Workshop

Let music and mandalas gently guide you in this practice of emotional, spiritual, and interpersonal connection. The session will begin with a brief discussion on the history and uses of mandalas. Following this discussion, session members will be asked to engage in creating their own mandalas. McKenzie and Kathryn will provide 30-40 minutes of live music, which will serve as the guide for mandala creation. At the conclusion of the music listening and art making, session members will be asked to engage in a brief discussion regarding what they experienced. Basic art materials will be provided and session members are encouraged to bring their own materials as well.

Price is $25 per guest which includes the cost of provided materials.
